Conventional NDT
What is conventional Non destructive testing?
Conventional NDT is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and technology industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.
FALCON Inspection & Services offers you the most effective non-destructive testing (NDT) for a diverse range of industries and ensures the reliability and safety of your products, equipment or installations by detecting defects before they cause serious damage and guarantee compliance with international standards.
Conventional NDT Services
Radiography Testing (RT)
Radiography Testing (RT) (conventional NDT method) Detects and evaluates wall loss and weld defects. Radiography creates an image of an item on film or on a digital detector using gamma rays or X-rays. During the manufacturing process, images are evaluated to detect wall loss, size pipes and plates, and identify faults in welds, forgings, and castings. The radiation source is chosen to meet the project’s needs. Radiography allows for in-house or mobile inspections, the construction of a permanent inspection record, and the provision of data to the customer for determining the acceptability of inspected components before moving forward with more work.
Falcon Inspection & Services has ANST level 2 and level 3 experts who can help you with your RT requirements in Tunisia or internationally (europe , africa, middle east, aisa) .
Magnetic particles inspection (MT)
Magnetic particle testing is a low-cost (conventional NDT method) method for detecting faults on the surface and near the surface of ferrous materials.
This testing approach can be used to assess whether an asset is conforming to needed requirements while it is in service. Operators can quickly identify the repairs that are needed, avoiding costly failures and downtime.
Falcon Inspection & Services has ASNT level 2 and level 3 inspectors and experts that can help you perform MT assessments in Tunisia or internationally (europe , africa, middle east, aisa)
Dye penetrant inspection (PT)
Penetrant Testing (conventional NDT) is a low-cost technique for detecting surface faults such as cracks, cold laps, and porosity. Prior to loss of containment and costly repairs, PT examination can uncover important faults in many clean and non-porous ferrous and non-ferrous materials. By capillary action, dye penetrant is dragged into surface breaking defects and drawn into the material or structure being evaluated.
A developer is applied after any excess penetrant on the surface is removed. The penetrant is drawn from the imperfection by the developer, who then creates a surface indication. Many ferrous and non-ferrous materials that are clean and non-porous can be used with this technique.
Falcon Inspection & Services has ASNT level 2 and level 3 inspectors and experts that can help you perform PT assessments in Tunisia or internationally (europe , africa, middle east, aisa)
Ultrasonic testing (UT)
Ultrasonic testing (conventional NDT ) uses high-frequency sound waves to assess material thickness and discover surface and sub-surface faults. It’s frequently used to find manufacturing flaws in welds and castings, track corrosion and erosion, and enable large-scale corrosion mapping. UT is a portable and quantitative inspection method that includes straight beam, angle beam.
