Services
we are best placed to serve your employment needs in many areas of pipeline and facility inspection. Our inspectors are qualified to provide services across a broad spectrum including:
Non destructive testing
It is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and technology industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.
FALCON offers you the most effective non-destructive testing (NDT) for a diverse range of industries and ensures the reliability and safety of your products, equipment or installations by detecting defects before they cause serious damage and guarantee compliance with international standards.
Industrial Radiography (ID)
- Industrial radiography is a method of non-destructive testing where many types of manufactured components can be examined to verify the internal structure and integrity of the specimen. Industrial Radiography can be performed utilizing either X-rays or gamma rays. Both are forms of electromagnetic radiation
- the aforementioned radiography techniques are capable of :
– detecting numerous surface and internal discontinuities consistently without requiring much preparation before analysis.
– inspecting hidden areas within the material, thereby providing a greater depth of information on potential flaws.
– also produce a permanent record following material analysis.
Magnetic particles inspection (MPI)
is a non-destructive testing (NDT) process for detecting surface and shallow subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. The process puts a magnetic field into the part.
Some of the important benefits of MPI is that :
- It is quick and relatively uncomplicated
- It gives immediate indications of defects
- It shows surface and near surface defects, and these are the most serious ones as they concentrate stresses
- The method can be adapted for site or workshop use
- It is inexpensive compared to radiography
- Large or small objects can be examined
- Elaborate pre-cleaning is not necessary
Dye penetrant inspection (DP)
- also called liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) or penetrant testing (PT), is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to check surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics). The penetrant may be applied to all non-ferrous materials and ferrous materials, although for ferrous components magnetic-particle inspection is often used instead for its subsurface detection capability.
- It is generally accepted that liquid penetrant testing has the following advantages:
– Sensitive to small surface discontinuities
– Few material limitations—works on metallic, non-metallic, magnetic, non-magnetic, conductive, and non-conductive materials
– Works on complex geometric shapes
– Visual, real-world results
– Liquid penetrant testing materials are very portable
– Liquid penetrant testing materials are individually very affordable
Ultrasonic testing (UT)
Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a family of non-destructive testing techniques based on the propagation of ultrasonic waves in the object or material tested. In most common UT applications, very short ultrasonic pulse-waves with center frequencies ranging from 0.1-15 MHz, and occasionally up to 50 MHz, are transmitted into materials to detect internal flaws or to characterize materials.
Welding Inspection
-
- Welding is one of the most important fabrication technologies and therefore benefits from a high demand. There are numerous welding techniques, each of which requires specific expert qualifications.
- Our Inspectors and welding engineers may perform duties as follows:
Inspection Engineering
An inspection is, most an organized examination or formal evaluation exercise. In engineering activities inspection involves the measurements, tests, and gauges applied to certain characteristics in regard to an object or activity.
- FALCON offers its customers recognized expertise in inspection engineering for all pressure equipment and facilities.
- FALCON’s engineering teams have experienced themselves in:
– Approval of welding procedures
– RBI according to API 580
– Fitness For Service according to API 579
– Inspection of pressure equipment according to API 510
– Pipe inspection according to API 570
– Tank inspection according to API 653
Inspection Engineering
- Tank inspection according to API 653
- Prevention and management of “SHUTDOWN” technical stops
- Verification, Approval & Development of procedures
- Verification and approval of plans
- Verification and approval of calculation notes
Project management
Project management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time.
FALCON provides the following services for your projects (pipeline, CPF, platform):
Optimization of project management processes
Good Communication is essential in organizations and is more prominent in Business organizations specifically. At present management spends a lot of time in meetings and emailing. While, This Project Management tool assists managers in making better decisions and helps minimize the unnecessary actions , This tool will cover three important activities: Project budget, Scope and Schedule. This includes Planning, organizing, giving directions or commands, checking in progress, and issue in the project.
Verification of equipment compliance to customer specifications
Verification and validation are independent procedures that are used together for checking that a product, service, or system meets requirements and specifications and that it fulfills its intended purpose. These are critical components of a quality management system such as ISO 9000.
Development of specifications and technical procedures
Follow-up of construction work
QA/QC
– QA/QC is the combination of quality assurance, the process or set of processes used to measure and assure the quality of a product, and quality control, the process of ensuring products and services meet consumer expectations.
– Quality assurance is process oriented and focuses on defect prevention, while quality control is product oriented and focuses on defect identification.
